Rachel Says She Will Keep Her Mouth Shut

When Rachel hit the stage she was the first to admit that after her faux pas yesterday, she's gonna keep her mouth shut! She sings and she really was amazing! Simon was willing the words to her as she sang and he had plenty to say when she left. "She's fantastic, she could have done a lot more with that song and she was even heading for a key change". I thought she was fabulous too Simon and Louis was impressed with the fact that she was humble.

Rachel Told Not To Play Victim

Simon Cowell and X Factor hopeful Rachel Hylton come to blows on this week's boot camp episode of the show. The argument centres around Hylton's rendition of Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars', of which Cowell says: "That performance will not work on this show. It's fine you slowed the piano down but what you started to do was ruin that song."Hylton fires back: "Can I defend myself? It's so easy for you to sit there. For everyone who stands up here I have to defend our position. [I] have practiced and practiced and I know I know this song."However, Cowell refuses to let her finish, stating: "I don't need you telling me what I should or shouldn't be saying. Rachel, don't ruin it for yourself here, you are beginning to ruin it for yourself. "Yes stand up for yourself, but don't play the victim. We have invited you all here, I understand the pressure you are under so don't use that as an excuse. You cocked up the arrangements and I don't want to see you do it again."One of us has to work with you. You have to listen as we are trying to help you."The first boot camp show airs on Saturday on ITV1 at 7.45pm. The second part follows on Sunday at 7pm.

XFactor Final 12

SIMON COWELL was fuming last night after this year's 12 X Factor finalists were leaked on the internet.

Cowell and his team had been determined to keep their identities secret until they were announced on ITV next weekend.
But a show insider leaked the information and yesterday it was posted on contestant Rachel Hylton's unofficial website.

The website boasted: "Hot off the Press, this year's finalists have just been leaked.
"If you do not want to know the final 12 contestants for the X Factor 2008 live shows, click here now and see the Top 10 Toys for Christmas."

Links led to a page listing the finalists and the judges set to mentor them. The website is understood to have had the right names, but they were quickly taken down.
A source said: "The site claims to have been set up by a pal of Rachel but she knows nothing about it.

The bosses learned of the leak within hours and moved to get the page down.
"They hope just a few fans saw it and the names won't spread.
"Simon Cowell was furious because he knows one of the biggest shows of the series is the 'reveal' of finalists.

"He doesn't want anyone to ruin it." Last night, an X Factor spokesman admitted bosses had asked a fans' website to take down the information.
He said: "A list of unconfirmed X Factor names was put on the internet but have been removed.
"We will be revealing the actual line-up for the final on ITV next weekend."
The leak comes as Cowell tonight lives up to his Mr Nasty nickname by leaving Rachel in a flood of tears.

He slated the single mum when she questioned his view on her performance.
The former drug addict is among 150 singers who compete to be one of the 24 to be mentored by Cowell, Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.
The boot camp stage will be screened on ITV1 tonight and tomorrow.

Dirty Tricks Campaign

X FACTOR fave Rachel Hylton is at the centre of a dirty tricks campaign – after claims that she leaked the names of the show’s finalists.

TV bosses were horrified to see a website – claiming to belong to the reformed crack addict – naming all 12 acts picked for this year’s finals.Producers had been trying to keep the identities of the singers and bands top secret until they are officially unveiled next weekend. But show boss Simon Cowell, 48, was left gobsmacked when the site – www.rachelhylton.org.uk – completely ruined their plan and named them all correctly. It read: “X Factor 2008 – Final 12 Contestants. If you do not want to know the final 12 for the live shows, then click here now and see the Top 10 Toys for Christmas instead!”Anyone who clicked on the icon yesterday morning was taken straight to a page showing the judges’ picks. When X Factor chiefs found out about the leak, they leapt into action with their legal team. The people behind the website were then forced to remove the list of names. Now a new message reads: “We’ve had a change of heart and have decided NOT to publish the names.”X Factor bosses also stress that ex druggie and mum of five Rachel had nothing to do with the stunt.A spokesman said: “Rachel was not aware of the site and she was not involved.” But producers fear there may be a campaign of dirty tricks to try to ruin the gobby 26-year-old’s chances of winning the show.A source said: “It seems odd that a site was set up without her blessing which looks like it’s the real deal. Is it a dirty tricks campaign to smear her?”

Rachel 5/1 Favourite - Will It Last?

Rachel Hylton has already been installed as 5/1 favourite to win the show - although if the word on the grapevine is true, those odds may change drastically after this weekend's Boot Camp shows.

Rachel Yelled at Cowell During Boot Camp

Rachel yelled at Cowell during the boot camp auditions for the ITV1 smash.
It was the first time a wannabe has lost their rag and given Cowell a taste of his own medicine across all five series.

source said: “Rachel has an attitude, to say the least, and Simon called her out on it when she was on stage at boot camp.
“He made some comments about her performance and Rachel got lippy, Simon told her to keep the cheek down.
“But Rachel didn’t take too kindly to Simon’s comments and she snapped. She yelled back at him and was in a real huff.”

Fans will see the dramatic exchange this weekend during the boot camp special. They’ll also discover who makes it to the judges’ houses — and the final 12.
Rachel, 26, has emerged as one of the show’s stars following a jaw-dropping life

Her half-brother and sister were killed in a house fire when she was ten months old. The mum of five first became pregnant at 12 and a year later was addicted to crack. She then descended into a grim life of shoplifting, robberies and prison.

Rachel — drug-free for six years — is now a church-goer.
She lives in Stanmore, North West London, with her two youngest children, six-year-old son Tishon, six, and daughter Tashanee, four.

Talking about her troubled past, Rachel said: “I know I took drugs and I know I committed crimes. But I’m really remorseful.
“I’ve come out the other end and want to have a second chance to make life better for me and my kids.”

In Top 24

It has emerged that 26 year old contestant Rachel Hylton has made it into the top 24 for this year’s X Factor. She was featured in the first episode of the new series of the show and was open about her life of drug addiction, crime and under-age sex — and revealed her heartache at having three of her five kids taken into care, however it looks as if things are on the up for the 26-year-old. During her auditions she sang Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good” which ended up to be liked very much by all four judges. She was very pleased to hear that she was through to the second stage of the competition but, according to reports, she is much further! Hylton has successfully made it through Boot Camp and is now at the stage where she goes to the house of the judge who is heading her group (which has not been revealed at this time).

Bookies Odds
